The saga that defined a generation returns for an incredible 7th episode!

The Star Wars saga continues with the seventh episode: a long time ago, in a Galaxy far, far away

When The Walt Disney Company acquired Lucasfilm in October 2012, the rights for the Star Wars franchise also went to Disney, which has ambitious plans for the beloved series: Episode VII will be released in 2015, with Episode VIII and Episode IX following in two-year steps. George Lucas serves as a creative consultant, while Kathleen Kennedy (longtime producing partner of Steven Spielberg), who succeeded Lucas as President of Lucasfilm, serves as an executive producer.

This episode is directed J.J. Abrams, the director of Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness. It is written by Michael Arndt, a screenwriter who has some experience re-booting beloved franchises after penning the script to Toy Story 3, as well as the critically-acclaimed 2006 Little Miss Sunshine.
