The epic depiction of a zombie apocalypse in harrowing detail

Based on the best-selling Max Brooks novel of the same name, Brad Pitt (Babel, Fight Club) stars as an UN representative racing around the world to fight a global zombie outbreak, known as World War Z.

The movie took considerable liberties with the source material. Most importantly the flashback-structure of the novel was changed in favor of a more straightforward approach. The movie also takes place during the war, not after it.

World War Z has been riddled with production issues including a time-delaying re-shoot and behind the scenes crew disagreements. Though Damon Lindelof (Lost) was hired to rework its ending, Drew Goddard (Robopocalypse) is reportedly now on board to finish the script once and for all.
