Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller take us back to the city of eternal night

In the dark alleys of Sin City, Dwight (Josh Brolin taking over from Clive Owen) seeks revenge against the woman who betrayed him, the femme fatale Ava Lord (Eva Green). Chronologically, this story takes place prior to the events depicted in Sin City. Meanwhile, Nancy (Jessica Alba) is trying to cope with the death of her protector, Detective Hartigan (Bruce Willis), and a gambler named Johnny (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is out to destroy his enemy at his best game.

The second Sin City movie is based on the comic Sin City: A Dame to Kill for by Frank Miller. Most of the cast of part one are returning. Exceptions are Devon Aoki, who won’t return as Miho and will be replaced by Jamie Chung (Sucker Punch) and Michael Clarke Duncan, who died in 2012. Dennis Haysbert (24) will take over the role of Manute. Robert Rodriguez (Machete, Sin City) and Frank Miller (Sin City, The Spirit) co-direct, as they did on the predecessor.
