Stephen King’s time-travel 1950s Americana thriller becomes TV series
In 11/22/63 a thirty something high school English teacher, Jake Epping, stumbles upon a time portal that leads him to 9th September 1958. As a good liberal with a basic grasp of US history, Epping resolves to prevent the murder of JFK (which occurred five years later on 22nd November 1963 - or 11/22/63, thus the title).
He begins a new life in the past as George Amberson, enjoying sock hops, beautiful American cars and Elvis and comes into contact with a troubled loner, Lee Harvey Oswald (JFK’s future assassin) and gorgeous high school librarian, Sadie Dunhill, who he quickly falls head over heels for.
The TV series is adapted from Stephen King’s novel of the same name and was originally developed as a film.
