Editor Intern

We are currently looking for Interns for our Editorial Team, lasting 3 – 6 months with rolling start dates.

What you will be doing:

  • Adopting a number of upcoming mainstream movie projects and TV series in various stages of production and aggregating news articles about these projects from various film sources.
  • Writing original articles covering the biggest film news of the day and updating on your projects
  • Creating polls to engage with users and gauge the popularity of upcoming movies.
  • Tagging movies and contributing to the film database.

Your profile:

  • You are an English native speaker
  • You have a journalistic background or prior experience in writing
  • You LOVE movies and your enthusiasm is contagious.
  • You are an experienced Internet user with strong research skills. You should be able to name at least a few film websites and blogs off the top of your head. Photoshop skills would be a plus.
  • You’re sociable, highly motivated, and an efficient worker with an eye for detail. We’re a tight-knit team, so you should also be fun to be around.
  • You live in Berlin or can get here fast (because we want you to start as soon as possible!)

Imagine a place where you could read every single scrap of news about Iron Man 3, or see every photo of Terrence Malick making Knight of Cups: that’s moviepilot.com! We are currently looking for interns to work within our content team for a period of 3-6 months, starting in January.

  • Write synopses for the upcoming projects we cover.

Journalist/Entertainment Writer

We are Moviepilot, a film entertainment site committed to delivering the latest news on upcoming movies, as well as featuring engaging content on our community's favorite television shows. Our goal is to be a first-stop destination for everything related to a film, from the very first rumor, to opening day. We have in incredibly large fanbase, with over 10 million followers on Facebook, as well as 10 million plus page views a month on Moviepilot.com. That is a substantial number of visitors experiencing our content. In addition to informing these visitors about industry news related to the movies and television shows they’re excited about, we also strive to provide them with entertaining, informed, and thoughtful editorial.

This is where you come in.

We are looking to add experienced journalists and film aficionados to our growing writing team in beautiful Berlin, Germany. We’re excited at the prospect of hearing from content creators who desire to challenge themselves creatively, while exhibiting their love of cinema, but there are a few must-haves we suggest you read through before applying. If you meet the following criteria, we want to hear from you:

  • English as a first language, or impeccable written fluency if English is your second language
  • A deep knowledge of American pop culture and cinema; there will be a quiz
  • Experience as a journalist/blogger, with an available portfolio and willingness to write a sample
  • An ability to relocate to our offices in Berlin for at minimum, a year
  • Social Media savvy; you are very comfortable around Facebook, Twitter, and other related platforms

Desired experience (though not required):

  • Video blogging

Facebook Page Manager

Your responsibilities

Taking over full responsibility for all updates made on your page Creating an entertaining mix of stories driving traffic to moviepilot.com and interaction with the fan community within Facebook alike

  • Copywriting intriguing page posts
  • Interacting with our editorial staff to optimize stories
  • Analyzing the page performance with Facebook Insights and Google Analytics
  • Community management: answering questions and liking user generated content onthe Facebook page.
  • The work can be done remotely and should take approximately 1-2 hours per day
  • We would like to meet you once a week here a tour Berlin office

Your profile
