Steve McQueen brings a harrowing true story of slavery to the big screen
Twelve Years A Slave tells the harrowing real-life tale of Solomon Northup; a man who was born free, but was bound into slavery later in life. Directed by Steve McQueen (, Shame) and produced by Brad Pitt, Twelve Years A Slave is set to star Chiwetel Ejiofor (, ) as Northup and Michael Fassbender as Edwin Epps, the slave's last master.
For Fassbender and McQueen, Twelve Years a Slave marks their third collaboration. The actor-director dream team recently worked together for second time on the critically acclaimed sex-addiction drama Shame. Their first film together was the acclaimed prison drama Hunger.
Now, the only thing to be distrusted more strongly than several test screening reviews, is one test screening review.
