Ryan Gosling was supposed to star in the titular role of Logan but dropped out due to scheduling conflicts. The sci-fi film would have reunited him with director Nicolas Winding Refn with whom he worked together on Drive and Only God Forgives. Logans Run is based on the eponymous novel by William F. Nolan and George Clayton Johnson, which was already turned into a film 1976. The classic sci-fi flick was directed by Richard Fleischer and starred Michael York and Peter Ustinov. The colorful movie can by today's standards best be described as... groovy!
