Dystopian futures revived in this remake of cult classic RoboCop!
Jos Padilha (Elite Squad) helms the remake of Paul Verhoeven's iconic RoboCop. This time Joel Kinnaman upholds the law as the cyborg created out of the remnants of a shot cop.
Like the ultra-violent original, RoboCop will take place in a dystopian future, where a crime-ridden city can barely maintain a stable police force and powerful corporations rule, however the original storyline has been altered to suit the current political climate. Gary Oldman and Samuel L. Jackson co-star and Jackie Earle Haley (Watchmen) joins the cast as RoboCops military instructor. Michael Keaton has been confirmed to play the villain Raymond Sellars, the CEO of Omni Corp who creates the crime fighter for his own purposes. Marianne Jean-Baptiste () will star as Detroit Police Chief Karen Dean.
Although massively different from his original look, Joel Kinnaman's RoboCop is looking decidedly badass on the set of Jose Padilha's remake. Check out his threads and wheels, here!
