Into Darkness

Peter Cornwell () looks set to direct an adaptation of Joseph Conrad's novel Heart of Darkness. The project, entitled Into Darkness, will take place in space in the year 2388 when earth is on the brink of extinction. All communication has ceased with the legendary explorer Kurtz who had been sent to find a faraway planet where humans can survive. Venturing deep into the unknown, the young officer Marlow discovers Kurtz's new earth populated with a race of beings at the dawn of time. It's humanity's last hope for survival. But Kurtz has his own plans.
