The sequel to the hugely popular adaptation of Suzanne Collins' novel
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire broadens the scope of its predecessor: Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) are back in District 12 as victors of the previous Hunger Games. Yet they are far from safe. President Snow (Donald Sutherland) strongly urges Katniss to show the public that her professed love for Peeta was real and not an act of defiance against the Capitol. Peeta and Katniss must head back into the Arena...
In this second installment Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amanda Plummer, Jeffrey Wright, Patrick St. Esprit, Sam Claflin and Jena Malone are new additions to the cast and Francis Lawrence (, ) is taking over directing duties from Gary Ross (), who was responsible for Part One.
