Guillermo del Toro weaves his dark cinematic magic on this classic tale
Guillermo del Toro is alleged to be directing and producing an adaptation of the French fairy tale Beauty and the Beast, with Harry Potter star Emma Watson in the lead role. Given his reputation for dark and imaginative re-interpretations, del Toro is sure to put his own unique mark on this classic. He already has some similar material on his plate with literary re-tellings like 2014's Pinocchio, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and The Witches.
