Kick-Ass 2

The much anticipated sequel to has everything that made the predecessor great: the same main cast, lots of dark, offbeat humor and a bloody R-rating!

Based on the second graphic novel in the Kick-Ass series. Kick-Ass 2 features all new self-made masked crusaders, the superheroes along with some gnarly supervillains.

Mindy Macready alias Hit-Girl (Chloe Moretz) is training Dave Lizewski alias Kick-Ass (Aaron Johnson) to become a more competent superhero as the return of The Red Mist (Chris Mintz-Plasse) looms large.

Scrubs star Donald Faison will provide backup as Dr. Gravity, a superhero by night who teams up with Hit Girl and Kick-Ass with the help of his Gravity Pole which allows him to float off the ground. On the opposing team, Russian female bodybuilder Olga Kurkulina will take on the role of Mother Russia, a huge deadly woman that will be the villain Red Mist's bodyguard. Jim Carrey is also on board as Colonel Stars.

Matthew Vaughn (, ), the director, screenwriter and producer of , will limit himself solely to producing duties for Kick-Ass 2. Jeff Wadlow (, ) now sits in the director's chair and has promised a film teeming with epic, brutal violence.
