Italian director Paolo Sorrentino (, ) helms The Great Beauty starring his regular collaborator Toni Servillo as a Jap Gambardella, a bitter 65-year-old journalist living in Rome, who recollects his youth.
Sorrentino's was awarded the Cannes jury prize in 2008 for its depiction of polarizing Italian political icon Giulio Andreotti.
