Song One tells the story of Franny (Anne Hathaway), who returns home after her brother has an accident which leaves him comatose. There she becomes romantically involved with his favorite musician (Johnny Flynn). The drama is filled with original songs, and should provide Hathaway a new opportunity to prove her considerable singing talent. Her first Oscar win for Les Miserables was in all probability largely due to her emotionally devastating rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream." Song One is produced by Jonathan Demme (The Silence the Lambs), who directed Anne Hathaway in the acclaimed indie drama Rachel Getting Married. Jenny Lewis, of Rilo Kiley fame, provides the music forefor the movie alongside her boyfriend Johnathan Rice. Song One premieres at the Sundance Film Festival 2014.
