Suspense reigns supreme in this splendidly cast thriller la Hitchcock.
When India Stoker (Mia Wasikowska) loses her father in a car accident, she makes the acquaintance of an unknown relative called Uncle Charlie (Matthew Goode). The mysterious man joins the lonely girl and her mentally unstable mother (Nicole Kidman) to live with them, and India soon discovers that her uncle's motives arent the most honorable. Still, she grows more and more deeply infatuated with him
Stoker was written by Wentworth Miller, the star of Prison Break who originally wrote the screenplay under the pseudonym 'Ted Foulke' to avoid association with his TV role. Director Chan-wook Park, whose earlier films include the celebrated Oldboy and Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, makes his first English-language feature with the thriller. Acclaimed composer Clint Mansell (, ) will conduct the score.
