God of War

Set in ancient Greece, the movie adaptation of the Sony video game God Of War will presumably deal with Spartan warrior Kratos' quest to kill the Ares, the title giving God of War who lays waste to the city of Athens. Screenwriters Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan are currently working on the script which intends to more fully develop the characters of Krato and Ares in order to enable a potential film franchise. Expect to see a more humanized Krato playing familyman before becoming the Ghost of Sparta, and Ares as a more proactive, fully formed villain.
