The Grandmaster is Wong Kar Wai's (In the Mood for Love, Chungking Express) long-awaited biopic of Yip Man (Tony Leung Chiu Wai), the mentor of legendary martial artist Bruce Lee.

Wong Kar Wai has remained true to form: the director, who is famous for making visual masterpieces, is also notorious for taking forever to finish his movies. Things are no different for epic The Grandmaster. After beginning to shoot in December 2009, the film still remains in progress. The Chinese release date was later announced as December 2012, and now? January 2013. However still no word for the U.S release.
