One of DC Comics's most famous creations is bound to get a film version of her own: Wonder Woman, aka the beautiful and fierce Amazon princess Diana of Themyscira, who comes to the 'Man's World' to fight evil.
Originally created by William Moulton Marston, she first appeared in All Star Comics #8 in 1941. From 19751979 the Wonder Woman TV series ran, starring Lynda Carter. Previous attempts to turn the comic superheroine into a film star have failed.
