Animation highlight The Adventures of Tintin hit theatres in 2011 and left fans yearning for another astonishingly animated adventure of young reporter Tintin and his right hand dog Snowy. The sequel The Adventures of Tintin: Prisoners of the Sun is based on the fourteenth Tintin comic. The story picks up after the events of the preceding comic The Seven Crystal Balls where Tintin and Captain Haddock travel to Peru. Off to find the mysterious and hidden Temple of the Sun, they -as usual- find more than they asked for. Both legendary directors Peter Jackson (E.T. the Extraterrestrial, Schindler's List) and Steven Spielberg (The Lord of the Rings Trilogy) are involved in the project again, although this time in different responsibilities. While the first part was helmed by Spielberg he yielded this position to Jackson, who only produced the first part. The highly popular comic albums were created by Belgian artist Gorges Remi under his alias Hergé.
