This upcoming DreamWorks Animation production explores the once secret world of shadows and their human counterparts. Stanley Grubb (Josh Gad) is our quiet, timid protagonist whose shadow Stan (Bill Hader) yearns for a bit more excitement in his life. When a crime in the shadow world endangers both their lives, Stan must whip Stanley into shape in order to investigate the crime and suppress a shadow rebellion from taking over the human world. Throughout their adventure, Stanley becomes empowered by his shadow and soon learns to stand up for himself.
