Minions

Minions follows the former henchmen of Gru on their adventures. We discover that Minions have existed for centuries, and that they've always sought out the most despicable master to serve. A long time before they met their current evil employer, Gru, the Minions did the bidding of Scarlet Overkill (Sandra Bullock), a stylish super villain who wants to take over the world.

New characters will be introduced and others will reprise their roles from . The film is slated to be released in 2014, one year after the release of Despicable Me 2.

Directing duties go to Pierre Coffin who co-directed , and he will be assisted by Kyle Balda (Dr. Seuss' The Lorax) as co-director. Mad Men's Jon Hamm will voice Herb Overkill, Scarlet's husband.
