The Nightmare Before Christmas director's long-gestating 3D project
Production on the The Shadow King for Walt Disney Pictures and Disney Pixar has been put on hold. Although a stop-motion feature from the , and director was expected to be released on October 4, 2013, scheduling and creative delays have halted production. It is unknown if the filmmaker will shop the project to other studios.
