Independence Day 3 (TBA)

The third installment of Roland Emmerich's classic disaster flick!

Disaster film specialist Roland Emmerich (The Day After Tomorrow, Godzilla) is planning back-to-back sequels for his 1996 blockbuster Independence Day. Screenwriter Dean Devlin, who co-wrote the original with Emmerich, is reportedly working on screenplays for both Independence Day 2 and Independence Day 3. With the script for the second edition still very much in development, don't expect a third installment for some time yet. It is still unclear if Will Smith will be involved in either project.
