Imagine

1970s rock star Danny Collins (Al Pacino) discovers an unopened letter from John Lennon. Lennon's words inspire him to get his unhappy life in order and find his estranged biological son (Bobby Carnavale).

Imagine will be the directorial debut of Dan Fogelman, who wrote the widely successful Crazy, Stupid, Love, which starred Julianne Moore and Steve Carell. The former was also set to co-star in Imagine as a hotel manager who befriends Pacino's character, though she has since been replaced by Annette Bening.
