Disney's plucky toaster & household friends to make a CGI comeback
In 1987 a toaster, a blanket, a lamp, a radio, and a vacuum cleaner all set out on a voyage to find their master after being abandoned in their cabin in the woods, in the animated feature The Brave Little Toaster. Later this Golden Reel Award nominated film was followed up with straight-to-video; The Brave Little Toaster to the Rescue (1997), and The Brave Little Toaster Goes to Mars (1998).
Waterman Entertainment (Casper, Stuart Little, and Alvin and the Chipmunks) has acquired the rights to the title, citing a new release to be a mix of live-action and CGI.
