'Hugo' star Asa Butterfield trains to defend Earth in a looming alien war

helmer Gavin Hood is set to bring Orson Scott Card's award-winning novel Ender's Game to the screen. Set 70 years after a horrific alien war, Andrew "Ender" Wiggin (Asa Butterfield), an especially gifted child, is sent to an advanced military school in space to prepare for a future invasion by the Formics alien race. But will this extensive training make Andrew Wiggin too dangerous for his own good?
