The sophomore effort from director of fantastic Oscar winner A Separation
Domestic problems propel the Iranian husband (Ali Mosaffa) of a French woman (Bérénice Bejo) to go back to his home country. When his wife contacts him to ask for a divorce, the husband returns – only to find another man (Tahar Rahim) in their home. The Past is described as an 'emotional social thriller.'
The French drama had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival 2013.
