Abigail Breslin grows up in a teen comedy about virginity and friendship
In this young-adult romantic comedy, Mary (Abigail Breslin) and Zander (Carter Jenkins) are two best friends who make a pact to have sex with each other if they're both still virgins by age 18.
Writer/director Beth Schacter has explored the volatile combination of sex, friendship, and childhood before, having written and directed the 2007 indie drama Normal Adolescent Behavior, about a group of teenagers who try to balance sexual drama with platonic love.
This project has been a long time in the making, with Lily Collins at one point cast in Breslin's role, and teen idol Vanessa Hudgens rumored to have a supporting role as Mary's 'slutty best friend.'
