The wayward desires of an amateur moth and butterfly collector test the limits of her lover's tolerance.

British film director and screenwriter Peter Strickland helms the ominous melodrama. He was the recipient of the 2012 British Independant Film Award for best director for his psychological thriller Berberian Sound Studio (starring Toby Jones). Produced by filmmaker Ben Wheatley (Kill List), The Duke of Burgundy is shaping up to be something interesting.

Previously appearing in Berberian Sound Studio, upcoming talent Chiara D'Anna will play the lead role.
