American Mary

American Mary follows med-school drop-out Mary Mason (Katharine Isabelle) as she is drawn into the nefarious underworld of illicit surgeries and body modification.

The critically-acclaimed film is written and directed by short-film veterans Jen and Sylvia Soska, twin sisters who make a joint cameo appearance as patients (check it out at 0:53 in the trailer above).

American Mary premiered at the British horror festival Film4 FrightFest in August, 2012, and is set for a US theatrical release just in time for Halloween, 2013.
