Warning: This article contains spoilers from American Horror Story: Roanoke.

After terrifying viewers for the past ten weeks, American Horror Story: Roanoke is set to conclude this Wednesday with the final part of the Roanoke themed story. The anthology series has been commended for created a brand new tone of horror with it's latest season, full of large twists that were impossible to predict. When the documentary My Roanoke Nightmare concluded, we saw the re-enactors and their real life counterparts return to the haunted house for Return to Roanoke: Three Days In Hell. The second part of the season was a complete bloodbath that saw everyone die under "mysterious circumstances" with Lee Harris being the only one to make it out alive.

However, the story is far from over and "Chapter 10" will likely see Lee being criminalized by the media for what went down during the three days of Return to Roanoke. With visual footage to back up that she wasn't responsible for much of what happened perhaps she will be exonerated but either way, the Lana Winters' special will certainly get to the bottom of what happened.

There could be a much more terrifying element of the finale that we are yet to fully understand — Lee was aided by Scathach during "Chapter 9" which resulted in her becoming a cold blooded murderer and aiding the colony in killing Sophie and Milo as well as Monet and attempting to kill Audrey.

This shocking interaction was most certainly a surprise twist — whether Lee was possessed or was merely following the witch's actions has yet to be determined. While we can see why the public will vilify Lee, it wasn't actually her doing the killing. The most terrifying part is what if there is more to Scathach's interaction with Lee that could affect Lee long after this bloody night?

Scathach's Help Usually Comes With The Promise Of Lifetime Commitment

One of the most important things that we learned from the My Roanoke Nightmare re-enactment is that Scathach has powers way beyond our understanding. Series creator Ryan Murphy confirmed that the character — played by Lady Gaga in the re-enactment —is the original Supreme witch thus tying Roanoke to Coven this may gives us an idea of her abilities but some of the stuff the witch of the wood has been able to pull of is amazing. Most notably, Scathach rescued Tomasyn "The Butcher" White from death by allowing her to devour a pig heart. There was a catch to this good will — the recipient of the heart would have to surrender their soul to Scathach. The Butcher became Scathach's killing machine, massacring everything and anything the witch wanted her to do.

Using this information from Roanoke Nightmare as evidence, it's clear that Lee was operating under the same principle during the last night of the Blood Moon when Scathach saved her life. This interaction between the two characters certainly seems to suggest that Lee could be supernaturally linked to the witch for all of eternity and if that appears to be the case then perhaps the death and horror is far from over for Roanoke.

Will Lee's Connection To Scathach Come To Light In Her Interview With Lana Winters?

Regardless of whether you view her as hero or villain, there is no denying that Lee Harris is a survivor and who better to interview Lee than the biggest AHS survivor of all, Lana Winters? The finale of Roanoke will see the return of Asylum's Lana Winters who will sit down for an in depth #TV exposé with Lee. Lana is more equipped than anyone following the horrifying experience she went through at Briarcliff Asylum back in 1964. However, Lana will no doubt get to the bottom of what happened during Return to Roanoke, but there is also the chance that we as viewers will find out some startling information that even we missed while watching the show.

An in-depth interview could be too much for Lee and even though this Lana Winters' special will be the woman's second attempt to clear her name — that why she agreed to Return to Roanoke — her image has been tainted a lot more because of what happened during the sequel series. Lee may get angry and I can't help but wonder if her connection to Scathach will come to light during the interview. Perhaps Scathach herself will make an appearance and if this is the case then all hell could break loose — we've seen what Lee is capable of once she is under the control of the witch if the wood. Lana may have experience with the insane and incomprehensible, but a situation like this would be new territory for even her.

Could This Interaction Be Related To The Coven Sequel Season?

Ryan Murphy confirmed, much to the fans' delight, that there will be a season of American Horror Story in the future to continue the storyline of Coven. The witch themed third season of AHS was a particular fan favorite and although it wasn't as horrifying as some of the others, the characters and Emmy winning performances by Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates are remembered as some of AHS' greatest ever attributes.

Although some disliked the fates of Fiona Goode, Marie Laveau and Delphine LaLaurie, the Coven finale is one of the only AHS seasons to completely wrap up the storyline so there is a little confusion as to why a sequel season is needed. Clearly Murphy believes that there is more story to tell and considering he recently confirmed that Scathach is the original supreme of the AHS shared universe then perhaps the sequel season of Coven will be directly linked to Scathach.

Moreover, considering Lee will be outside of the Roanoke land and still feel a connection to Scathach could lead to some crazy revelations. Perhaps Lee will go to New Orleans to seek help from Cordelia Foxx and the other Coven witches? The confirmation of a sequel season to Coven and the Scathach connection certainly suggest that Scathach will have much more of a role to play in the AHS shared universe and perhaps Lee will be her puppet to do so.

If you think Roanoke is messed up check out some of these messed up moments from previous seasons of American Horror Story:

American Horror Story: Roanoke comes to a head in next week's finale and the events of Return to Roanoke will be brought to light through Lana Winters' in depth exposé on Lee Harris — the survivor of Return to Roanoke. Lee will definitely have some explaining to do if she is quizzed about her connection to the witch Scathach and it could only be a matter of time before we find out what the original supreme is really capable of.
