Fall is here and cuffing season is upon us. What better way to celebrate love, old and new, than with some steamy movie kisses? Even if you're still walking head-first into the holiday season without a significant other, there's nothing quite like watching a romantic kiss shared between two good-looking movie stars to restore a person's faith in love.

Without further ado, here's my list of the best cinematic smooches of 2016 so far. Let the onscreen kissing commence!

1. 'Me Before You'

  • Release Date: June 3, 2016
  • Director: Thea Sharrock
  • Starring: Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin

Me Before You, adapted from Jojo Moyes' novel of the same name, pairs Game of Thrones' Mother of Dragons, Emilia Clarke, with The Hunger Games' Sam Claflin in a heartbreaking love story that will surely bring you to tears.

Their story proves that love isn't always easy, but their shared kiss during a tropical rainstorm shows that it's still worth it. Keep the tissues on hand for this one.

2. 'The Legend of Tarzan'

  • Release Date: July 1, 2016
  • Director: David Yates
  • Starring: Margot Robbie and Alexander Skarsgård

What happens when you pair two of the hottest actors in Hollywood and offer them the chance to make out in tattered clothes on the beach? About $356 million in the box office, that's what.

It's no surprise that people turned up en masse to see Margot Robbie and (shirtless) Alexander Skarsgård play Tarzan and Jane in David Yates' telling of The Legend of Tarzan. After a kiss like the one above, it would appear that audiences got their moneys worth.

3. 'Sing Street'

  • Release Date: April 15, 2016
  • Director: John Carney
  • Starring: Lucy Boynton and Ferdia Walsh-Peelo

The Irish hit out of Sundance, Sing Street, beautifully encapsulates the pain, awkwardness and general insecurity felt by teenagers. Though set in the '80s, Cosmo and Raphina's story is one that fits any decade and all ages.

Their first kiss is exciting and a bit uncomfortable, but equally adorable. Seeing Cosmo's long-harbored affections finally coming to fruition will make you yearn for the hope an potential of your romantic past.

4. 'Swiss Army Man'

  • Release Date: June 24, 2016
  • Directors: Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan
  • Starring: Daniel Radcliffe and Paul Dano

This one might be a little unusual, but after seeing Swiss Army Man, it's easy to see why. The kiss shared by Daniel Radcliffe and Paul Dano isn't necessary born of love at first sight, but that doesn't make it any less powerful.

Their characters, Hank and Manny, are about an unlikely a couple as can be. But when push comes to shove, they're always there for each other — and that's what really matters.

5. 'Deadpool'

  • Release Date: February 12, 2016
  • Director: Tim Miller
  • Starring: Ryan Reynolds and Morena Baccarin

How could you talk about heartwarming kisses without including Tim Miller's box office juggernaut Deadpool? Sure, Deadpool is technically a superhero comedy, but that didn't stop fans from lining up on Valentine's Day weekend to see him in action.

Even those who had successfully tricked their significant others into believing it was a rom-com, were pleasantly surprised to find that, at it's center, it was as sweet as any rom-com in the theaters.

6. 'The Choice'

  • Release Date: February 5, 2016
  • Director: Ross Katz
  • Starring: Benjamin Walker and Teresa Palmer

The Choice might not have been Nicholas Sparks' most popular adapted work, but this scene was worth watching the entire movie. If you're not too turned off by saccharine love scenes, that is.

The story of Travis and Gabby is a classic one of neighbors-turned-enemies-turned-friends-turned-lovers. You know, that old chestnut. In any case, this makeout scene is so hot it'll force you to turn the AC on in the fall.

Soon, awards season will be upon us where I'm sure even more knee-weakening, butterfly in the stomach-inducing kisses will take place. Between La La Land, Loving, Hacksaw Ridge, The Edge of Seventeen and Nocturnal Animals, I'm sure this list will be bursting at the seams by the time 2016 comes to a close.
