You are the Princess Shireen of the House Baratheon, and you are my daughter.

Michael Shannon, the massively charismatic actor who brought General Zod to life in Man Of Steel, can't seem to stop talking.

After revealing that he fell asleep during Batman v Superman — because was on a flight, tired, and most definitely not as a result of Zack Snyder's movie being in any way boring — Shannon today dropped an interesting hint about an uninteresting, unspecified Marvel or Star Wars movie he turned down.

Here's what the General himself had to say when asked by Fandango about whether he would travel to a galaxy far, far away or suit up for DC's arch-rivals Marvel:

"No, I’m not really looking for that. They called me recently about some iteration – I won’t say – but some version of a movie that’s been made already countless times. They were gonna give me a lot of of money, but I was like nah. Big movie, too. But I have to think it’s an interesting story. If I don’t, I can’t do it. I won’t do it."

If we're going to be all Sherlock Holmes about this, the use of "recently" is in itself interesting because it suggests the movie he turned down was post-Man of Steel. That means it may well have been The Force Awakens or Rogue One on the Star Wars side of things, or Doctor Strange if we're talking MCU. Shannon, 42, is definitely in the right age range to play the Sorcerer Supreme.

Shannon, who says he did Man of Steel because it was "a beautiful, relevant story about a civilization that destroys the planet they live on," has a superb supporting role in Tom Ford's Nocturnal Animals, which is in theaters from November 18. Check out the trailer below.

Which "uninteresting" Marvel/Star Wars movie do you think General Zod said "hell no, bitches!" to?
