Digimon Adventure Tri. Confession is set to be the third of six movies celebrating the 15th anniversary, since the adventure ended with Digimon Adventure 02 in 2001. Well the first trailer for Confession is out and has plenty for us to get excited over and to speculate about.

The first thing that can be confirmed is, yes, Patamon is indeed infected with the strange virus infecting the Digimon. This will open up old wounds for Takeru (TK) who already faced loosing Patamon back when their adventure first started, when Patamon digivolved and sacrificed himself to defeat Devimon.

The odd thing is that Patamon does not seem to worried about the fact he is infected, and if he is infected does that mean some of the other partner Digimon will be or are also infected? Another interesting image to appear is Ken's digivice and a D-Terminal.

We know this is Ken's digivice as it is black and that was the color of his. This could mean we are set to discover what happened to the second generation of Digidestined. All we have seen so far is them being defeated in the opening moments of the first film.

However, the newest Digidestined, Meiko also has a black digivice. Hers is of the same design of the original digivice, where Ken's is the second generation digivice. This could indicate their is a link between their digivices, and we know Ken's was created by the Dark Ocean that holds great evil. Could the same evil be behind everything that is going on? It is possible as it is a remain factor from the original story. The final part the trailer reveals is what appears to be the Digidestined returning to the Digital World once again.

Are they going back to the Digital World?
Are they going back to the Digital World?

The first series saw them start in the Digital World, return to the real world and then finish off in the Digital World for the final battles. The second series used travel between the two worlds on practically every episode. So for them to head back to where it all began during these movies only makes sense. With years having passed since the second series ended it is likely many factors will have changed there, including who is running the place.
