Most actors like to spend their spare time going on vacation, working on their social media accounts or just enjoying all that disposable income — but not #EmmaWatson. Emma decided to spend her free time post-Beauty & The Beast by running around the London Underground, hiding copies of Maya Angelou's Mom & Me & Mom on trains and in stations for book-lovers to find.

I feel you, woman on the escalator.

As an ambassador for UN Women and all around top babe, Watson teamed up with Books on the Underground, a London-based initiative which aims to get commuters reading by leaving books dotted around the underground.

Maya Angelou's Mom & Me & Mom is also this month's pick for Emma's online feminist bookclub Our Shared Shelf. The book club is open for anyone to join, and currently has almost 150,000 members. The idea is to share ideas and discuss novels which promote equality and empowerment — Emma say's it best herself:

As part of my work with UN Women, I have started reading as many books and essays about equality as I can get my hands on. There is so much amazing stuff out there! Funny, inspiring, sad, thought-provoking, empowering! I’ve been discovering so much that, at times, I’ve felt like my head was about to explode… I decided to start a Feminist book club, as I want to share what I’m learning and hear your thoughts too.

The plan is to select and read a book every month, then discuss the work during the month’s last week (to give everyone time to read it!). I will post some questions/quotes to get things started, but I would love for this to grow into an open discussion with and between you all. Whenever possible I hope to have the author, or another prominent voice on the subject, join the conversation.

The hunt is now on, with London-based book-lovers trying to snap up a copy on the underground before they're all gone! Only 100 copies have been hidden on trains, escalators and stations, and each come with a hand written note from Emma herself:

As well as a movie star, Emma is a prominent ambassador for gender equality, and campaigns as a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador. In 2014 she served as the face of the #HeForShe campaign to involve men in the movement for women's equality. Emma is also starring in #Disney's upcoming #BeautyandTheBeast live-action reboot, which hits theaters next year.

So if you happen to find yourself on the London underground today, keep your eyes peeled for one of Emma's personalized copies of Mom & Me & Mom — and remember to hide it again when you're finished for someone else to find!
