It's that time of the year again, when your shoes get white stains from the salt on the sidewalks and you forget to buy about two thirds of your presents, so you're going to end up in an overheated store on the eve of the Eve fighting another shopper for the last remaining packet of scented candles like two stray dogs over a dead rat.

If you're the kind of person to get a little stressed out by the planning of festivities that'll leave your stomach begging for less and your wallet crying for more, you're going to need a healthy dose of witty movies to watch. From the sarcastic to the downright adorable, the 10 #funny #Christmas movies below will help you unwind and let out a good real laugh or two — a relief when you've been serving fake smiles at the last 20 family reunions.

1. Love Actually, 2003

It's cliché for sure, but who doesn't love #LoveActually? The best kind of film that relies on intertwined stories, this #RichardCurtis masterpiece is the exact right amount of corny and funny and touching, and you should definitely know it by heart by now.

2. Bad Santa, 2003

Far from the usual cutesy Christmas story, #BadSanta is the not-so-appropriate story of a grumpy mall Santa who isn't really here for the cinnamon-scented hugs. Now's the perfect time to rewatch it, since Bad Santa 2 is coming out November 23.

3. Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas, 2000

What would Christmas be without the Grinch? For anyone who loves #JimCarrey, this is a must-watch.

4. Jingle All The Way, 1996

The best funny Christmas movies are those who start with a grumpy character, and Arnold Schwarzenegger's Howard Langston in Jingle All The Way is no exception. A busy dad trying to find a sold-out toy for his kid, he learns to take a new look at this special time of the year.

5. Office Christmas Party, 2016

Combine #JenniferAniston, #JasonBateman, #TJMiller, #KateMcKinnon and #OliviaMunn, and you know you're bound to get at least your fair share of laughs. This typical Christmas comedy is coming December 9, and will certainly give you new ideas on how to wow your colleagues (or not).

6. Elf, 2003

Just the idea of #WillFerrell in pointy shoes should be enough to justify the presence of #Elf on this list of funny Christmas movies. Funnily enough, it was directed by Jon Favreau, the man behind Iron Man and The Jungle Book.

7. A Christmas Story, 1983

Because every Christmas movie list needs a good '80s classic, don't forget to rediscover A Christmas Story, the story of little Ralphie Parker and his obsession with a Red Ryder air rifle.

8. The Santa Clause, 1994

One of the most popular themes in Christmas movies (and in real life) is obviously the existence of Santa, a question that has led to more than one awkwardly funny situation. But no one had a weirder experience than The Santa Clause's Scott, played by Tim Allen, who finds himself forced to replace the white-bearded old man.

9. The Night Before, 2015

One last R-rated Christmas comedy for the road: The Night Before stars Seth Rogen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Anthony Mackie, joining forces for a most unusual Christmas party.

10. Scrooged, 1988

Saving the best for last: What would funny Christmas movies be without Bill Murray? In Scrooged, he's a shameless television executive who starts reconsidering his life choices after meeting a series of ghosts. Isn't that how everyone's Christmas goes?
