Warning: Spoilers for Episode 2 of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life ahead!

When a show like #GilmoreGirls runs for seven seasons and has a massive cult following, it's only natural that fans are going to zone in on some of the more mysterious aspects of the series - such as how Kirk managed to keep on top of so many jobs, or how Lorelai funded her cushy lifestyle on a single salary.

Well, so far in the Netflix revival series Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life a big question was answered in Episode 1 when everyone's favorite bitchy concierge, Michel was finally allowed out of the closet, and then in Episode 2 we got more answers when Lane's father, the much-debated Mr. Kim, finally made an on-screen appearance! Check it out:

It was brief but it happened!

The existence of Mr. Kim has been one of the biggest questions for Gilmore Girls fans over the years, with Lane mentioning her parents in plural multiple times during early seasons of the show, but her mother being the only one to ever make an actual appearance.

In fact not only did we frequently see Mrs Kim in the show, but we also met Lane's aunt Joon, cousin Christine, heard about her uncle Joe and briefly saw multiple Kim family members over the seven season of the original show, but never her father!

While the brief inclusion of Mr Kim in Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life may be some blatant fan service, and still leave us with a lot of questions (where was he at Lane's wedding or baby shower?), after waiting nine years for this revival series to be released that's exactly what we're after, is it not?

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life and all seven seasons of Gilmore Girls are available to stream on Netflix now.
