#JenniferAniston has been fighting back against her treatment in the media with gusto this year and no amount of fabricated pregnancies in trashy gossip rags will keep the fierce actor silent anymore.

After Aniston's heartfelt essay for the Huffington Post – where she discussed how vile and sexist stories reduce her to a desperate, walking womb – she is expanding her horizons to encompass how everything from her divorce to her nipples have been shamed in the press.

The 47-year-old Cake actor told Marie Claire magazine that she wasn't happy with the way she, or women in general, are pulled apart by the media in the following eloquent statement:

"My marital status has been shamed; my divorce status was shamed; my lack of a mate had been shamed; my nipples have been shamed. It’s like, Why are we only looking at women through this particular lens of picking us apart? Why are we listening to it? I just thought: I have worked too hard in this life and this career to be whittled down to a sad, childless human?"

As if by osmosis, Jen's personal life has been of even more interest recently thanks to her ex-husband Brad Pitt's divorce from his second wife, Angelina Jolie. It was essentially Brad and Jen's messy split that made her relationship's prime tabloid fodder in the first place, so it's great that she's noticed this trend and is confident enough to fight against the invasion of privacy this time.

As Jen said, she has worked far too hard to not enjoy the fruits of her labor. She has every right to feel happy and proud of her achievements, even if the press don't choose to reflect on them enough.

Do you think Jennifer Aniston is right to speak out to the press or should she simply ignore the headlines?
