As the first entry in Disney and Lucasfilm's Star Wars Anthology series, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story represents the franchise's biggest gamble in years. Disney CEO Bob Iger has called the film an experiment for the series, and its divergence from the standard formula might have some fans worried. But those fears should be quelled by the brand new #RogueOne trailer.

Watch the latest trailer for Rogue One below:

Once again, Felicity Jones takes centerstage as Jyn Erso, a newly recruited Rebel tasked with leading a motley crew of soldiers on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star. It's a pretty personal mission considering her father Galen (Mads Mikkelsen) designed the Imperial superweapon, but as we see she'll have plenty of help along the way. The newly assembled Rebel team gets down to business in the trailer, blasting their way through Stormtroopers and doing whatever it takes to complete their mission.

But this won't be an easy one for Jyn and company, especially with imposing Imperial military director Orson Krennic (Ben Mendolsohn) ready to take them down. And with the help of Darth Vader, there's a good chance Krennic will succeed. Star Wars history tells us the Rebel Alliance will get its hands on the Death Star plans, but that doesn't mean Jyn's squadron will make it out alive.
