Rick and Morty is one of the most clever TV shows I've ever watched, and I'm crazy in love with the show after just 2 seasons. It's no definite answer to when Season 3 will be released, but at a #RickandMorty panel earlier this year, Dan Harmon had this time-frame to give us:

"I think Season 3 is—we’re targeting around the end of this year… You guys do realize we’re at the beginning of this year?"

Nevertheless, I hope they don't rush it, because Seasons 1 and 2 have been masterful, so I'm hoping the same for the third season. Looking back on Season 1 and 2, it's easy to miss some of the cameos that were featured in the hit animation show. Some of Hollywood's best comedians and actors have lent their voice to Dan Harmon's show and here are 5 that many fans of the show totally missed. Let me know which ones you already knew in the comments!

1. Nolan North - Scroopy Noopers

Nolan North is one of the most well-known video game voice actors in the world. His most notable work to date is his work on the Uncharted video game series. He's lent his voice to Rick and Morty a few times, but his best character to date is Scroopy Noopers from Season 1 Episode 9. This is the episode where Jerry is set on the idea that Pluto is a planet, and finds himself in a tough spot when he's confronted by the king of Pluto, Scroopy Noopers.

2. Key and Peele - Fourth-Dimensional Beings

Keegan Michael-Key and Jordan Peele are some of Hollywood's funniest actors right now. Their hit sketch show, Key and Peele, recently ended and they just made & starred in the hilarious comedy, Keanu. The pair made their Rick and Morty appearance on the first episode of Season 2 as the fourth-dimensional beings. This was a very clever episode where we saw Rick Sanchez struggle to be absolutely certain in his decisions. Check out Key and Peele in Rick and Morty below!

3. Alfred Molina - Devil

This is one of the few cameos in Rick and Morty that totally went over my head — I had no idea that Alfred Molina played that dodgy devil in Season 1! You may recognize Alfred Molina from the likes of Spider-Man 2, The Da Vinci Code and Raiders of The Lost Arc. If you remember, Rick eventually gets his victory over the devil and stops him selling all of his shady goods — with terrible repercussions.

4. Keith David - The President

With over 260 acting credits to his name, it's no wonder Keith David crossed paths with Rick and Morty's co-creator, Dan Harmon before. The pair worked together on the final season of Harmon's other hit show, Community. He appeared in the hilarious episode where the huge, giant, head-shaped aliens want earth to "show them what they got" as they perform for an intergalactic singing contest. The President has total belief in Rick and Morty's musical capabilities to save Earth from being destroyed by a giant laser. I'm sure this is super confusing if you've never seen the episode, but trust me it's a good one.

5. Christina Hendricks - Unity

Christina Hendricks's appearance on Rick and Morty is another one of those cameos that totally slipped by me. The Mad Men star played the main character, Unity, in the episode "Auto Erotic Assimilation", where we caught a glimpse at Rick's past love life. This was a strange episode, even for Rick and Morty, but it was clever as always, as we learned that trying to have a romantic relationship with one person in thousands of different bodies just does not work. Poor Rick, I hope he finds love someday!

6. David Cross - Prince Nebulon

David Cross featured as Prince Nebulon in the hilarious Season 1 episode "M. Night Shaym-Aliens!", where Rick and Morty were stuck trying to escape a twisty mystery orchestrated by Cross's character. This one slipped by me on my first viewing of the episode, but as soon as I found out it was him, I couldn't un-hear it!

BONUS CAMEO - RICK AND MORTY ON THE SIMPSONS

This is a cameo you have probably already seen, but it's too cool not to include for the people who might not have seen it. The Simpsons and Rick and Morty equally beloved but totally different, so it's really fun to see the two cross paths!

Rick and Morty is one of the craziest, darks shows on TV right now and we can't wait for Season 3, which I pray drops this year. Were there any cameos which blew your mind? Let me know in the comments!
