I don't know about you, but I love to use emojis. I probably use them a little too much sometimes. Have you ever wondered what might happen if the emojis popped out of your phone and entered the real world?! Space Oddity Films, a production company that has a special interest in producing films that explore the different ways in which technology impacts our culture, recently just produced a short horror flick titled, Wink, and it answers that very question.

Wink is a simple story about a girl alone on Halloween night. She soon realizes that she is not alone when she begins to get attacked by — yep you guessed it — EMOJIS.

The short flick pays nice homage to the 1978 horror classic Halloween with the very opening shot that slowly zooms into a flickering jack-o-lantern. The music also gave me a very It Follows vibe, with its pulsating electronic beats playing throughout the chase scene. I thought the idea was very fresh and entertaining.
