With great power comes great responsibility — and great rewards, it seems. Comic book mastermind Stan Lee was awarded his first honorary arts doctorate at the ripe old age of 93. Congratulations, sir!

Although Lee was unable to be there in person, the Philadelphia University of the Arts enjoyed a video from the comic crusader during the ceremony. Lee said to those in attendance:

"It is truly a wonderful honor to receive this doctorate of fine arts degree. Thank you to all the good people at the University of the Arts. Excelsior!"

"It was such an honor to bestow this honorary doctorate on a man who has made an indelible mark on our society. Stan is a remarkable example for our young people of how artistic expression can flourish through a dogged pursuit of your passions and your vision, a commitment to excellence, and an understanding of the intersection of business and the arts."
