Confidence over competence
Joshua Flannagan

So, I'm a huge fan of #superheroes. I get very excited when discussing them and have often used MoviePilot as a platform to scratch that itch, so to speak. I also am a huge fan of the superhero shows that are on #CW, #Netflix, and ABC (#TheFlash, #Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., #Daredevil, Jessica Jones, #LukeCage, and even #Supergirl). But I'm greedy and I'd like to see more! So here is my list for the top five superheroes that do not already have a TV show or a movie or have in any way been portrayed in this new wave of super-heroic characters. Here we go!

1. The Question

First and foremost, The Question. He would make for a brilliant TV show. He's cool, he's dark, and he's mysterious. I'd love to see a show that leans on his defectiveness. But, I'd also like to see a very abridged telling of Trinity of Sin. Pandora and Phantom Stranger would make for highly interesting side characters. Unfortunately, The Question doesn't quite fit into the CW landscape, but, instead, seems to fit in the Netflix grouping. This also wouldn't work because of Marvel's apparent monopoly on that market. Maybe a more light-hearted Question could appear on CW. Or, perhaps the #DCEU will begin making their own shows to further compete with Marvel. Perhaps a premium channel show?

2. Moon Knight

I know that this is a very common character suggested for a TV show, but I'm just gonna put him here too. He's awesome. He's frightening. I think that Moon Knight would be an excellent addition/counterpart to #Marvel's Netflix shows. He is obviously different than the other characters that are on Netflix, but he is still a hardened crime-fighter. Additionally, seeing all of his personalities on screen would be very interesting. They would need one hell of a powerhouse actor for this one.

3. The Teen Titans

Yes, I know that the Teen Titans are more than one superhero and yes, I am including them in just one spot on my list. I wrote an article suggesting a Teen Titans show earlier this year (here it is if you'd like to give it a read). I won't go into too much detail, but I will say that I think this would (in my estimation) also have to find a new network. Evidently, I believe that the DCEU needs to expand.

4. Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew)

So we've got #SpiderMan in the #MCU, why not give Spider-Woman a chance? She's pretty darn cool — she's got bizarre, radioactive powers! What's not to love? I think Spider-Woman would be great on ABC along with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. since they are more closely related to the MCU. I think she would make for a great character on TV, especially if the show isn't too dark. There would be drama, of course, but this should be a show that still knows how to make people laugh.

5. Grifter

This is my pitch for an additional CW show. I think Grifter would make an excellent addition to that universe. He hits on so many cylinders, it's almost dumb not to use him. He fights crime, he fights in military missions, and he fights aliens. Also, he has history with Green Arrow. I'm a big fan of this character and I'd live to see him join forces with The Flash and the Green Arrow.

Why these characters haven't had their own shows yet is a question that can only be answered by the Green Arrow (or not):

Well, those are my opinions! Let me know in the comments what you think or if I've missed anybody!
