The world of reality #TV is in a constant state of evolution. Its ability to adapt, to bait, and to entice viewers into hate-watching never ceases to amaze. The only problem is, audiences of the world constantly crave the new, they crave the unique, they crave the desperate. With every TV season's beginning comes a new slew of desperate attempts by networks to bait those into watching every slap, backstab, and unexpected twist and turn. But what happens when it all ceases to surprise? What could be the next pivotal step in reality TV's unending evolution? Well, the new indie drama movie, #ThisIsYourDeath, just might have the answer.

The film is directed by Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad, Once Upon A Time) and stars Josh Duhamel as a Ryan Seacrest-type hosting a game show where people commit suicide for money left to their loved ones. Famke Janssen (X-Men, Taken) stars as Duhamel's boss, Ilana Katz. Giancarlo pulls double duty, starring in the film alongside The Walking Dead's Sarah Wayne Callies and ultimate party boy hero, James Franco. The official synopsis - short yet totally unnerving - is here:

An unsettling look at reality T.V. where a disturbing hit game show has its contestants ending their lives for the public's enjoyment.

While the film currently has no release date set, IMDb does have it listed for release in 2016. With this current year quickly coming to a close - and with a full slate of upcoming holiday releases - it's looking less and less likely that this film is going to meet that deadline. Audiences should expect this indie feature due out sometime in the first half of 2017.
