June 2, 2017 marks the long-awaited release of Wonder Woman, the fourth installment in the DCEU and a much-need female superhero movie. The story takes place centuries before other DC heroes are even born, going all the way back to Diana Prince's origins as an Amazon princess.

While we've already seen Gal Gadot as Diana in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, most of the characters are newcomers to the DCEU. So who else is filling out the Wonder Woman cast, bringing these characters to the big screen, and what do you need to know about the actors?

For a complete recap of what we know so far, you can also head to:

Gal Gadot As Diana Prince/Wonder Woman

An Israeli actress and model, Gal Gadot started her career as Miss Israel 2004. Not long after she auditioned for the part of the James Bond girl in Quantum of Solace, she got a role in the Fast & Furious franchise as Gisele Yashar, a character that she played in three of the movies. However, she was truly been propelled to international fame upon getting the role of Wonder Woman in the DCEU.

Chris Pine As Steve Trevor

If you don't know Chris Pine from his role as Captain Kirk in the new Star Trek franchise, you might have spotted him in the recent critically acclaimed Hell or High Water. The 36-year-old American actor started his career with a small role in the TV series ER. Now he joins the Wonder Woman cast as Steve Trevor.

Connie Nielsen As Queen Hippolyta

A Danish actress, Connie Nielsen has had several roles in film and television, from Ridley Scott's Gladiator to the Boss series. In Wonder Woman, she plays the Queen of the Amazons and Diana's mother.

Robin Wright As General Antiope

American actress and director Robin Wright's career started in the '80s (notably in The Princess Bride), but she's probably mostly known for her brilliant turn as Claire Underwood in Netflix's series House of Cards. Aside from being part of the Wonder Woman cast, she's also set to appear in the Blade Runner sequel.

Lucy Davis As Etta Candy

Lucy Davis, a British actress, has appeared in several TV shows, from The Office to Ugly Betty. But while she appeared in Season 13 of NCIS last year, she hasn't had any recent movie roles — until her turn as the amazing Etta Candy in Wonder Woman.
