A thrilling retelling of the classic story of the former Texas Ranger John Reid (Armie Hammer) and his sidekick Tonto (Johnny Depp) who fight injustice in the American old west.

Filming has taken place in New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, and Arizona. The Lone Ranger is the movie adaptation of the eponymous 1950s TV series. In 2011, the pre-production of the film was initially held up by budgetary concerns. Participants agreed to cut costs down to around $215 million, but production costs during shooting reportedly propelled out of control totaling around $250 million.
