Rumored

There’s no official word but an actor has showed interest, future plans have been muttered, or a sequel seems inevitable.

Planning

A screenplay has been commissioned, someone has bought the rights, or a movie is in full swing pre-production.

Filming

They’ve hit the set, lines are being read and cameras are rolling!

Post-production

Editing has begun, special effects are being worked on, and music is being recorded.

That’s a wrap, the film is complete! Coming to theaters in the US on this date.

The legendary video game gets a high-octane movie version!

EA’s popular video game gets a big-screen treatment. Need for Speed is intended as a homage to the great car culture films of the 1970s. It centers on an underground race driver (Aaron Paul), who gets framed when his best friend is murdered at a race. Released from prison he is hellbent on getting his revenge.

Director Scott Waugh (Act of Valor) is a sort of jack-of-all-trades. The filmmaker worked as a producer, editor, cameraman, and stuntman.
