Chris Pine steps into Harrison Fords shoes as CIA agent Jack Ryan!
Ex-Marine Jack Ryan (Chris Pine) is a financial analyst stationed in Moscow. When a Russian mastermind (Kenneth Branagh) plans to sabotage the US economy via a terrorist attack, Jack has to step in to save the day.
Branagh is also directing the film, with Keira Knightley (Anna Karenina) confirmed to play Jack’s wife. Kevin Costner is on board to star as William Harper, the character who recruits and trains the ex-marine.
The character of Jack Ryan has already been played twice by Harrison Ford(Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger) and once by both Alec Baldwin (The Hunt for Red October) and Ben Affleck (The Sum of All Fears). The character was created by famed political thriller author Tom Clancy.
