Charles Bronson’s notorious revenge flick gets a violent remake!

Death Wish is a remake of the the 1974 revenge flick Death Wish. The crime thriller famously starred Charles Bronson as Paul Kersey, a man who turns to vigilantism after his wife is murdered and his daughter is sexually assaulted by muggers.

Death Wish is based on the novel by Brian Garfield.

Joe Carnahan (The Grey) was supposed to re-imagine the original and transpose the setting to present day, downtown Los Angeles. But Carnahan dropped out of the production due to a dispute with the studio about who to cast in the Bronson role.
