Ray Winstone plays hard-boiled British cop in this big screen adaptation of The Sweeney!

Jack Regan (Ray Winstone) and the Metropolitan Police Flying Squad, so named because their original high-speed pursuit vehicles were postwar RAF (Royal Air Force) cars, chase the scum of London through the streets without worrying too much about bending the law.

The Sweeney is based on the British cult TV show of the same name. The extremely successful program aired between 1975 and 1978 and starred John Thaw as Detective Inspector Jack Regan, and Dennis Waterman as his partner Detective Sergeant George Carter. These roles are given new life as played by experienced badass Ray Winstone (The Departed, Nil by Mouth) and Ben Drew (Harry Brown) in the reboot.
